I had the Teach Me Music Academy all to myself for most of the day today. We had tutors coming in later in the evening to teach but I had my own private practice space. Although I wouldn't say with any confidence that I can play Keyboard or Drums but I had some practice behind the kit and ivories.
Of course I took a selfie as well. Who wouldn't
This week has definitely seen the business side of my life take over. Trying to write a business plan while teaching and gigging all weekend and all week is extremely stressful. It's done now but it was so much work. Luckily I have the comfort of knowing my Fender Modern Player Jazz V will be going to a friend in exchange for a Warwick. This is exciting, can't wait to have a blast on my new bass.
Some or most of you (hopefully) know I had a competition running on my Facebook page to win a Squier fretless Jazz bass just by leaving a comment.
We finally have a winner. I've known the winner for a while but due to a surprise birthday, the winner could not be told or made public. I'm happy to record our lucky winner of the Squier fretless Jazz Bass now has the lovely item. So humble and grateful for the beautiful words. There will be more competitions in the future so stick around to win next time.

I've just received news that this bass could potentially be mine. This Warwick bass is so beautiful. I might have to upload a sound clip for everyone to hear how it sounds if it does become mine. Fingers crossed.
Teach Me Music became one with the Kidderminster crowds today at the market. Every Thursday Kidderminster has a giant market and this week, TMM had a stall to advertise, promote and spread the word of our academy and business. It was amazing and we thank everyone that was involved and everyone that came to talk to us during the day.
Yesterday Myself and the Guitar tutor (Alex) from Teach Me Music went on a musical adventure to PMT in Birmingham. We brought some music equipment obviously so have a look at the new additions to our collection.
It always seems that gigging brings out my bass face and creative body shapes. Just have a look at some of these. Definitely interesting to say the least. All of the photos below are taken from gigs with The Smooth Criminals
I've been in the newspapers several times for various different reasons so it's time to add to the collection. I've been in the papers for my association with the Roland Academy Roadshows, for performing at a charity event for Daisy Mae (which was shown on BBC midlands news) and now I'm in the Express and Star for Teach Me Music (a music academy in Kidderminster, which a friend and myself run).
Director, Bassist, Music tutor and Columnist. Keep up to date with everything here.
